Your designs are fantastic and I can see them becoming extremely popular. I would love to get back into printmaking. I wasn't sure whether this might be a trade secret but I was wondering what type of press you have and where you can buy them. Adele
I use an old bookbinding press I bought off Ebay. It's cast iron, old, heavy. It seems to do the trick. However, there is also a place called Homecrafts Direct http://www.homecrafts.co.uk/_Printing-Presses They sell printing presses too. Also, there is a blog by a fellow printmaker called Printspecs where "secrets" are revealed http://print-specs.blogspot.com/
Thanks for getting back to me about the presses and giving me the links. I've been looking for this sort of info for ages. I was really pleased to find that you can now buy a softer lino as trying to carve the harder one hurts my wrist quite a bit. Adele
they look great, kiran.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I've gone back to using a chair. I have a chair obsession!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I have a new cushion design. I just need to take a photo of it!
